L67 swap
Well youll need the transmission for sure and new exhaust. I cant think of much more. http://www.tripleedgeperformance.com/? is who silverbullit showed me, he specializes in the l67, and Ill probably go to him if I ever get a swap.
Try doing a search on here for "L67 swap"
This subject gets covered at least twice a month, if not more often.
Actually, your exhaust will be perfectly fine.
The Buick Regal GS comes stock with the L67 engine, and has a single exhaust that is identical to the Monte Carlo LS.
In fact, all of the L67 cars are actually single exhaust up until the cat-back where it splits at a Y.
Paraphrasing bumpin96monte (who may be devolping carpal tunnel syndrome from repeatedly typing out the information about L67swaps), you will need:
-Complete L67 engine and 4t65e transmission
-engine bay wiring harness from any 3800 monte, preferrably one from the same year as your car.
-L36toL67 swap wiring harness. Most vendors sell this for about $20 or so.
-PCM tuned for an L67
-fresh fluids
Try checking out these two threads. There are many more like it if you look around a little bit. Like i said, use the search function.

There is also a forum that is dedicated to swapping L67's into various cars.

Good luck if you decide to do the swap, and keep us updated with your progress.

Whaddya know, they do all come with the 4t65e from 2000-2005.
Looks like for you, the first line should just say
"-Complete L67"
I would triple check that the bellhousing pattern is the same between the two engines though, as the 3.4L and 3.8L use completely different engine blocks.
The transmissions might be the same internal parts with different cases.
I have no idea though.

However, the supercharged 3800 L67 came with a 4t65e-HD whereas the rest of them are regular 4t65e transmissions. There is a difference between the two as far as the chain/final drive ratio, torque converter, and differential are concerned. However, power handling is pretty similar between the two because most parts are shared between the two transmissions.

Your call either way- lots of 3800 NA guys (that come with the regular 4t65e) do the L67 top swap to put a blower on, and they leave their stock transmission with no problems. Either way, it doesn't matter much- kinda depends on what you want to do with the car (determines what gear ratio you would want to run), and what condition your current trans is in.
hah i like that idea, and heres a question for you intimidator: from zzperformance.com whats the differance between the z3 turbo kit and the z7 kit?....because the performance specs are the exact same but the z7 kit is i think $700 more. and i do see that they come with a few different things like the turbo is from a different make, but like i said the specs are the same so what the "real" difference?

The engine will cost about $600 and the turbo another $3000. That would equal a mean machine with decent gas mileage.
