IMO, if you just want a bolt in power upgrade- can't you just get a retuned pcm. Should be a lot cheaper than $250+. If you want to be able to fine tune things, I've seen HPTuners go used for little more than $400, so for a little more money you'd have a lot more tuning options.

Sure do- if you don't already have one, you can get some cheapy garbage used one- the requirements are pretty low. I think I only paid like $75 for mine (windows 98, lol).

Even if you end up spending double the price of the jet for a used laptop and used hp tuners- you'll get far more than double the functionality.

Feerme7: I bought two Jet chips, both failed. Easy to install but lack serious quality. Did have excellent luck with a Jet MAF though. Don't know why but the chips were just no good ended up buying a Hypertech unit. Hypertech only produced on the dyno an extra 2 HP - probably not worth the nearly $400 price tag. Sam Buscemi

i have one of those on my mustang and my silverado. they work great when you want to install gears, bigger tires and every thing else that are bolt ons. the controllers helped out allot when i put 4.10 in both vehicles.
