Default I'm baaaaacccck!

I have not been on here too much lately due to being busy. I want some opinions on what I am looking to do. Here is the list:

Gen V M90 full top swap
North* Throttle body
Built transmission

Now since I have the L36 I was going to get a Modded L67 Lim that is ready for the Gen V but also IC ready in case I want to do that later. I am looking for L32 heads And basically the rest of the top swap stuff. I got a quote from Morad for $1130 shipped which includes this:

  • heads (L32)
  • valve covers
  • lower intake manifold (Modded L67)
  • injectors (Dont know yet)
  • fuel rail
  • supercharger (Gen V M90)
  • TB (no maf) (North* with LQ4 maf)
  • vac lines
  • idler pullies
  • brackets
  • balancer
All of the parts except the injectors, fuel rail, throttle body, and MAP sensor would be from an L32. You will need to purchase all of the gaskets, fluids, harness upgrade, and torque to yeild bolts as they are not included.

Sorry Lots of Info but what do you think? Price wise the ClubGP guys think thats kinda high so a guy on there is looking for parts for me. Anything I am forgetting?

I think you should go the L67 top-swap with a ported blower. This way you don't have to convert for the electronic throttle body and the returnless fuel differences, also you can find the L67 parts much cheaper

A guy over at the GP forum has most of the parts for me already. So far he as the L67 Fuel rails and injectors, North* with the LQ4, Gen V M90 with a MPS already installed, ported and IC ready L67 modded LIM, I just want to get the L32 heads and some other stuff I am waiting on. You are right a ported Gen III would be easier and less money but I feel like tons of people have that and not a ton have the Gen V. Other than that there is the plus of the added power it will make .

I like that new Sig picture your car looks sweet!

i'm running a ported gen 3 and L67 ported heads with L32 intake/exhaust valves. the only difference i can tell is the blower on the gen 5 whine louder than the gen 3

What if you ported a Gen V? Can you even port the Gen V, I can't see why not? I got a guy local who is selling L67 heads for $45 for a pair. I am just waiting on another guy for the other stuff. Plus the same guy does tuning so hopefully I can get him to do that too when I am done.

if you doing intercooler you gonna have to delete out the H bar. the only way i can see if you want to port out bigger is if you gonna run a bigger TB other than the N*

Gonna sound dumb but lol What is an H bar? This guy said he modified a L67 LIM to run a Gen 5 M90 and to run an inter-cooler. He said even if I don't do it right away its modded so that I wouldn't have to pull the LIM again if I wanted to add a IC later.

well if he ported out the lim and gen 3 for the ic then you fine and need not to worry about the bar, but here's my ported gen 3 set up for intercooler notice the bar is not there. the other pic is of a stock gen 3

Does the Gen 5 have that H bar?

EDIT: I just looked and its does. From what I read on the Gen 5 you can leave the H bar and still get nice gains or just take it out. If I do decide to run an IC (Since I will have the LIM ready to go) I could just take the Gen 5 off and have the H bar removed. Thanks for the info Silver, us Silvers gotta help each other out lol.

Well I have my top swap going in on Sat. the 16th. I will be doing a Gen V M90 with a North* TB, LQ4 MAF, ZZP modded fuel rails, L32 remaned heads, TOG headers and a 3.6 MPS just to start with. I also added a few things to my car like roof rails and door sill plates that I will post up some pix of. Wish me luck!
