I remember when this forum actually helped people and didn't make fun of them... especially those that have just joined.

Rather than helping the guy to learn to search alot of people kicked sand in his face. Way to keep this a top of the line forum.

I honestly think it would be different if you were talking about a subject that rarely came up- but even if this was his first time on a message forum and had no idea what the search button does- there were still at least a couple active, recent threads on the first page or two of posts between the 3 engine sections, it just takes a few minutes to scroll down and read the thread titles.

Also, from my experience on forums- people are much less likely to help someone asking for help if they show no initiative of even reading through some of the various threads, and also people who just ask blanket statements like 'how can I make my car faster?'.

 

plus ALL CAPS and poor spelling.

when a post seems like a joke post, we'll treat it that way.

 

I remember looking through threads here when I first joined, and finding a thread similar to this (similar OP), and a bunch of long term members posted similar jokes.

I remember some of the good ones were (from my memory)

Put the gear shift in "R" for Race. Adds 100whp

Nascar stickers add 30-50hp depending on size and location of the sticker.

Racing stripes will, of course, make you much much faster.

That said, no it's not new to crack jokes if the OP sounds like a joke.

Someone should probably assemble all of the good threads that deal directly with modding these cars and create a thread of good links. There are some really good threads around that I read when I first joined (kinda wish I would have bookmarked the useful threads).

Anyways, if you look through the posting history of the guys cracking jokes in this thread, you would notice that most of these guys (if not all, I didn't actually check I just recognize the screennames) do seriously answer a lot of legitimate questions.

come on now he failed the question is if he had the true ss or the sc ss there is alot of stuff for them it is not like the 3500 motor that i have i am just looking for modes for mine with out ripping out the motor yet i still have to pay it off first and promissed the misses to have an lt for now i already have the 5.3 lt3 and tranny for it but waiting to pay it off

 

i do think it is a little weired that the original post didnt say what he was looking for different headers upgreaded computer noutheing but it is our fault for not asking and makeing it a joke like myspace thats a joke but finding out what is what is why were hear what can we do to make our montes last and run like a champ that out runs the rice burnners we as in this forum need to stop making fun of people and grow up and help each outher life is to damn short to make fun of every one get over it people and help each outher
