RE: hypertech!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well i didnt have much time to spend tuning but i took off the speed limiter and increased the shiftness to 50% and then i took it out to my schools bball game. on the normal roads it felt like i had alot quicker response and it felt like i was at WOT when i was 3/4 of the way there. the shifts are alot nicer but i didnt get it up at speeds but i love the inprovement at the low end

RE: hypertech!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm considering a Programmer myself for my '04 SS. I have a chip by Hypertech in my pickup and it seemed to help. I was wondering what anyone else thought about the programmers. Are they worth it? I don't doubt that they improve HP but what about fuel economy?? Any savings there? Thanx in advance for any help.

RE: hypertech!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a worth while investment. If your computer savy go with the DHP software other wise go with the Hypertech system.
I think it improved my MPG's slightly but not enough to justify the cost if that is your objective. The dyno showed a 16HP increase on super with the hypertech unt...

RE: hypertech!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thx Montejass. I just wanted to make sure that it's not detrimental to fuel economy. If it improves it a little bit and adds the HP then I think that'll do just fine. However, I'm sure my fuel economy will decrease if I can't keep my foot off the floor!

RE: hypertech!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Question, I didn't want to drop 300 bucks on a hypertech, but saw the intense pcm for 100, and was wondering if it was just as good. Also, they have those ebay $30 rev increasers, that supposedly do the same thing (must be a catch). But they say they get rid of the 4500rpm limiter just what I wanted. Any help?
