Question 2000ont Carlo SS

I have A 2000 Monte Carlo SS, I had a motor put in it but they did not put in the motor I wanted { found this out after I paid for the work} I am wanting to supercharge the motor and transmission. Could someone be honest and tell me what I need to do, before I take to a shop. I would like to buy the parts myself so I will know what I am getting is what I want.

Wanna do a little race when you get all those mods? Picking on 4 cylinder cars is one thing when you have a supercharged V6, picking on V8's is something else entirely.

I've only raced a S/C Monte Carlo once, it was stock, and I ended up murdering it. Would love to see what a modified S/C Monte Carlo could do.

I was shocked today when i timed my 0-60 on my stock 2004 monte ss supercharged i used my dynolicious app on my phone not sure if its 100 percent accurate but i consistantly got 6.3 seconds i was surprised because that was with almost a full tank of gas and two twelve inch subwoofers in the trunk i cant wait to time my 0-60 after my mods im hoping for around 5.4 seconds

That's about average actually. You'll have to get to about 5 seconds flat to keep up with me.

All of the LS1 Camaros make 345HP in 1998-2000 and 350HP in 2001-2002. I've added a few mods so I'm pushing 370HP and 375 lb/ft of torque.

It's a common misconception that the Corvette's LS1 made 350HP and the Camaro/Firebird engine only made 305HP. Here's proof:

Where are you located at? I always get dyno tuned at ZZP and have never paid more then about $160 for a tune (usually 3 pulls). I'll be going again this spring/summer (hoping for 400whp).

Just an fyi too, once you really start modding these cars it gets VERY hard to plant hp to the ground. Torque steer can get bad, and it takes a LOT of work for me to get up to 60mph without spinning the tires.

I live in lansing if your close by there yea i onow what you mean about the torque steer and traction issues since our supercharged 3800's have such a large torque curve and make more torque than horsepower my pirelli p zero tires help a little bit with traction but i still have to feather the throttle up to about 40 lol
