Hey i have an 04 monte ss supercharged that i am trying to get some good performance out of. I have a hypertec performance chip and an intake so far but i really want to get a different pulley for the supercharger. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what size pulley to get so that i do not go to small and break something.

 

If you dont' want to break anything you'll need to keep the stock 3.8 size on for a while.

Welcome! Yea, you definitely need more supporting mods to run a smaller pully.

 

Also- for your current mods- what kind of intake is it? If its just a short ram, unsealed from the engine bay- you're probably hurting yourself. Also, the hypertech isn't really the best option for the 3800 either- I'd rather go with a custom tune, or even a canned tune from a 3800 specific vendor.

 

What other specific mods should i take into consideration then before i can change out the stock pulley then? I really want to get the performance out of my car so i can compete with some of the tuners in my town ha.
