That looks like a good deal but I do not want to have to deal with shipping.

the 5.3 isnt a bad motor, just lacking in cubes. id want as many cubes as i can get. especially since this is going into a 4th gen. that isnt exactly the lightest car. id hold out for a lq9 or a ls2. lq9 will definitely be cheaper. check ls1tech classified daily. stuff goes quick on there.

I'm going to try to find a 5.7 or a 6.0 but if I get a 5.3 I would have enough money left to supercharge it hehe.

LSX
If you can get a LS6 for 1k then take it.All the LS engine are going to run a good amount of money. The 5.3 an 4.8 the cheapest the LQ4 an LQ9's are what a lot of guys are gunning for now.
The ls engines are light even the iron block ones are a little lighter than a SBC.An they make great power.A stock 5.3 will push a 4th gen pretty good.
I got a LQ4(only 500 buck with ecm)I plan on keeping the efi on it a lot more tuning options(have a HPTuners already).
