Yeah, but the whole deal is that I didnt think you could get a torch up there by the manifold. The PB blaster, I was told not to do that on the i-manifold bolts because there is a risk of fire because you cant aim it really good.

What I did with mine was:

1. lift the front end of the car as high as I could.
2. Spray The bolts w/ PB Blast.
3. Drink a beer.
4. Start the car to heat everything up.
5. Let it cool.
6. Spray the bolts w/ PB Blast.
7. Drink a beer.
8. Get under there with a breaker bar, 3 extensions strung together, universal joint & socket.

Gave the bolts a twist & out they came!

Oh yeah, did the same drill at the resonator sans extensions & u-joint.

Hope this helps.

Peace out.

me and my freind who just got certified to be a mechanic, have decided it gonna be easier to cut the bolts off, then use a hammer and pin too take out the remainder, then just buy some new ones....

If you're trying to get the downpipe bolts out, just use a 15 mm wrench to break it loose, if that doesn't work, just get a breaker bar. Granted I don't know how tight of a fit your motor is, but I have an L67 that has almost no clearance against the firewall and I removed my downpipe bolts with just a 15 mm wrench.

If you can get a wrench/socket on there, ran the car for a few minutes to heat up the exhuast, sprayed the bolts with PB or something like that, used a breaker bar and still no luck= Then you might have to cut those bad boys out. Do you have access to air tools? Some creative (but maybe dangerous) techniques with an impact wrench could work.

im sure i could find somebody with some, but theres not much room between the engine and firewall to really do much.

You may need to crawl under the car and use extensions/u-joints plus a breaker bar.

a few shops might ruin the O2 sensor while taking the downpipe off and try to charge you +$100 for a new one, so be careful when having a shop do it.
