Engine Vibes When Idling
2004 SS, 161k miles
Do any of you guys experience a deep engine vibration when you're idling? My Olds 88 (also had a 3.8 in it) used to do it too. I'm not that worried about it, just more curious. It might be only in the cold, but it will still do it after it's been running for a while and is definitely up to temp. To try to describe what it does, it sounds/feels like when you're driving a stick and you don't give it enough gas, then you feel the engine bog down before it dies. So that "bogging" is what mine feels like, but nowhere near as intense. So, it never actually dies, it never actually impacts performance, but I can feel it. If I even give it a hundred or two hundred RPM then it goes away. Do older cars just idle harder?
