Default Engine ticking.

I just had Mobil 1 Synthetic oil put into my car at the Chevrolet dealership here, first time it's had synthetic (54,000 miles), and have had a ticking ever since I left the parking lot. I know most of the time ticking is common and doesn't hurt anything but it's just aggravating to hear and I have the money to repair it but I'm not sure if its a lifter or valve or what needs adjustment/replacement. Also, it only ticks at idle, when the rpms rise it stops. Thanks.

You might wanna try using standard oil
As well as a new filter.
Also add some Lucas motor treatment just might resolve your problem.

Maybe someone else will chime in with other suggestions.

I've never done that before. Do I just pour it into the block like a quart of oil, all of it too? And do I get the synthetic treatment? Assuming yes.

Yes Lucas motor treatment is synthetic.
I use it in all my vehicles. Just be sure to not over fill the motor...so count it as a regular quart. When you change out the synthetic with standard oil. Including a new filter.
