Default Engine swap IRO-Z FI 1988 in MC SS 1987

Can somebody tell me if this can be done?
I have the oportunity of buying a nice MC SS 1987 in excellent conditions but with no transmission or engine, I found a 305 ci. FI fron a IRO-Z 1988 in good conditions, but since my mecanic experience is from back in 1992 in the swap of a 305 ci. on a 1982 Caprice, I don't want to mess with the engine mounts an the fact that all the accesories on the IROC-Z are in the oposite side.

Can somebody tell me what to do if it can be done, and wich engine mount do I need to use.

A 305 is a 305 no matter what it was in or what its going in.
All you have to do for accessories... Is mount them the way it should be on yours....(In other words) Just swap them around to where they should be Mounted in the Monte.
You may have to buy MonteCarlo motor mounts so you can put it in the Monte. (Monte mounts vs Camaro Mounts.)
No Biggie...

gotta love how univirsal a 305 / 350 chevy is. probibly gonna be tougher to set the car up to run the fuel injection than installing the rest of the engine. gonna require some wireing and fuel system mods from whats there.

Thanks for the imput! but maybe I will go for a decent Camaro IROC-Z 1986 350 ci. $1300 since buying a Montecarlo SS rolling chassis was $2400 (look very nice outside, don't know inside) plus $1500 for a IROC-Z305 ci engine running clean as new and $300 for a transmission, the only dilema is the resale value comparing them as a colectors car? the Camaro is all original with a 350 ci. the Monte carlo will be an adapted 305 ci. TPI Camaro engine.
