Default Engine Replacement (original wiring harness)

Getting ready to replace my 3800 series 2 out of a 2000 Monte Carlo ss. I have my old engine removed and I’m currently prepping my “new” (a healthy used example) engine that came out of a 99 bonneville. I am swapping brackets over as needed and I’m also using my old alternator, water pump power steering, flex plate, torque converter etc.. from the previous motor. Is there anything on the electronics side or any hidden things I may run into after I get the new engine all bolted up on the mechanical side? I have my original wiring harness still in the car aswell as the transmission. Would hate to miss something critical. Thanks for the help!

While you have the engine out put in the crankshaft position sensor cam sensor the temperature sensor that is called for you're year a lot of times the connector could be different
