Default engine bulid

i am getting ready to build a new engine i have thought about a LS1 swap but that would cost a lot so i think going to build a 383 or 406 and was going to keep the CR around 9.5:1 but i don't know if i should run NOS Turbo or supercharger and just wanted to get some ideas on this issue i know i am going to have to get good flowing heads and a good cam ect. but i am unsure should stick with a carb or Fuel injection i am open to any all ideas and just want other's input ideas

I think an edlebrock fuel injection unit will make that car a pleasure todrive. If you are going to drive it on the street, just keep it NA. A good 383 stroker can be made to put out 500 hp when done right. That should be plenty of power and will keep it simpler and more reliable. A guy down the street had a 383 stroker built for his 54 chevy pickup that has close to if not over 500 hp NA on pump gas.

i would build a 406 for sure ! you can have 500 plus with that N/A if you pick the right parts and you can always put some juice on it for the track if you want a little extra
and i would stay carb if it was me because it's more simple
