eaton M62 on 3400?
hey guys, im new to this site, and this question has probably been asked a dozen times. but i have a 2003 LS with a few bolt-ons. i recently noticed a few people that have put the Eaton M62 supercharger on the 3400 SFI motor. i was wondering if i could get some insight on if its a positive buy and what other parts are needed, as well as if its worth doing for times sake.
thanks.

There was a place that used to make a kit for a wbody with a M62- I want to say RSM racing. It was stupid expensive; but seemed like a feasible idea. They mounted the blower up by the front of the engine (kinda by the airbox and such)- ran the magnuson snout (which uses interchangeable snouts)- to extend the snout and pulley over to line up with the others- then had a manifold that the blower dumped into with a regular, round outlet- which was then piped up to intake manifold with regular tubing (I forget if the TB was in the stock location or ahead of the supercharger). At least that would allow the hood to close.

To me the M62 sounds small for a 3.4L. That's more for the 2.0 - 2.4L range, and even those are getting M90's put on them. The M62 is basically 2/3 the sise of the M90. To get the most out of the M90's on the 3.8L, they need to be ported. Some are going to the M112s, also. M62 would be better than nothing, but the M90 I don't think is really much bigger than the M62, is it? Just longer? MAYBE 1/2" taller?

I've actually never heard of people putting M62's on the 3400. Interesting. But if you can put the M90 on instead, then do that. I love the Sunfire pic, lol. Any link to other pics of it?
