Default Dropping a 5 Speed In an '87

Has anybody tried putting a 5 speed in a G-Body car? Or know of anyone who has?

I currently have a Turbo 400 with shift kit, and Hurst Quarterstick. But I've always loved manuals, and would love to convert my car. I would assume mounting and running the clutch pedal would be one of the biggest challenges.

i kno wit can be done and your right the pedel haging etc. would be the tuff part. the Z bar would have to be in there right other wise it will never feel right to you or work right.

there is a guy here that did it to a 96 imp. he put the camaro ? 6speed in his. I will find out if he can give any pointers on how to do it and what you might need.
I know for sure your going to need the fly wheel, bell houseing and clutch assembly. also the you going to have to figure out where to mout a remote slave cycinder. but if you look in to the hot rod world you might find something that can help you on this also as they do it all the time.
grand nats. were atos wernt they? dont think they had the clutch in them but if they did it would be the prefect fit for ya.

I was gonna put a t-56 in my car but changed my mind cause I didn't know the first step to putting a pedal and master cylinder in. One of my buddies said it was a piece of cake. Just buy the hydraulic clutch setup.

yeah actually the hydo clutches are not to difficult to put in.

most of it is the hanging of the pedel and even it is not to hard.
not like the old ones you had to worry about the Z bar etc... they were a oin in the **** in comparison.
