You may want to invest in a Haynes manual, they are very helpful

However, I'm not positive, but I think there is an access hatch under your backseat to get atop the fuel tank and remove the assembly. If not, you have to drop the tank.

There is a hatch - 6th gens can catch it through the trunk - you just have to take the lining out of the trunk. As far as where, not sure since I've never accessed it but others who have done this have said that's where it is.

Do a forum search, I've seen threads on it before.

The hatch is between the rear seat and the spare tire well. Easy to get to (and luckily, I've never had to use it yet).

Its real easy to take out, just get (i believe) a flathead screwdriver and hammer to turn the cover thingy and remove the 3 fuel lines and pull it straight out...

I would suggest renting a lock ring removal tool or a brass drift and a rubber/rawhide hammer instead of a screwdriver. That way you don't run the risk of creating any sparks.

You know I didnt even think about the chance of creating a spark and setting stuff on fire lol good catch!I always realize the mistakes after ive done the project lol. Be sure to relieve the fuel pressure or you will get gas spraying everywhere like I did lol (in my face). Pull the fuel pump relay (under the hood) and crank it, it still may have a little gas but not as much. Bring some old rags just in case.
