Default DHP vs Intense

I'm lookin for a chip to rid of the speed limiter and 4,500 rev. imiter, along with a bit of added power. I was wondering if the Intense PCM would do much if I just have magnaflows and a CAI, or would the DHP for 3800performance.com be better. Also, the DHP specifies to use 91 octane and the intense doesn't, does anyone know if it would be much of a problem? Thanks for the help.

i would think the intense would require prem gas too. how much moding do you plan to do? cuase i love my power tuner. yes it is like 4x as much, but if your ever going to do changes its there. plus you get a diagnosit tool too.

im partial to DHP cause they are the only ones that offered help to us poor people with the 3.4L DOHC.

Well if I have to spend for the extra gas I will, however much difference it makes, but I do like the ability to adjust settings with the power tuner. Thanks, but Still undecided though.

The DHP software solution would be my choice.

I purchsed a Hypertech programer and believe me, you will want more options once you get into tuning....

Well, it turns out I don't have enough money for the DHP tuner, but may be able to buy a hypertech on ebay or anyone else.
Along with my research though, I just wanted to know what exactly is meant by shift points to 6000 rpm are really...1st gear ...6000rpm, secondgear..6000 rpms...etc. Ican't seem to find that practical, so can anyone give me some insight.

It means that you can adjust your **** points not to exceed 6K.

Hit 6K for an extended period of time in first gear and something will give.

With Hypertech, you can adjust shift points by MPH and set your max RPM to what ever you want. After research of my own, I would not touch the RPM limiter and leave it stock....
