That would have been great. My mechanic wasn't able to get the crank pulley off. He didn't want to break it and ruin the engine. I need to find someone who can get it done cuz now my MC will not start and this Uber to work is killing me.

I put a breaker bar on the crank bolt and turned the engine on, then off. Broke the bolt free and then used a 3800 harmonic balancer puller to get it off. From there it's just unbolting the sensor and unplugging the wiring harness. Install new sensor, reinstall crank pulley, and used an impact to tighten the bolt back up.
x2 what nitehawkjcb said. That will break-free that bolt right away. Just make sure you have the right bolts for the puller so you don't need to make another trip out.
I see this is old post... hopefullyI can get info on the bolts needed... or anyone want a 2000 LS CHEAP!

Glad to see you got it all replaced and going again though! Good looking car by the way.
3 years later.....I have an 03 Monte Carlo LS and she won't start, turns over but won't start. Originally she over heated and I let her cool down (2 hrs) then she started right up so I drove her home but about 10 miles in and she started to overheat again (but no smoke) pulled over and cut her off to cool down again and she just never started again, ran codes (pic below)
so I bought all parts pertaining to all the codes. Changed every part plus the starter and battery and she still not starting. Ive had a diagnostic done and nothing pops up.... I'm stumped please help😭
Id make your own thread unless you're the OP with a new username. Thats a lot of issues to walk through and many folks reading the thread may not make it all the way down to see your post.
I'm curious when those codes started? Was the car 100% fine, and then suddenly when the starting issue popped up it tripped a mountain of codes?
Did you test any of the parts removed to see if they were truly bad? If all of these popped up all at once, I'd lean more towards some kind of widespread electrical issue (bad pcm, lost a ground, etc) rather than a dozen completely unrelated systems having a mechanical failure all a the same time.
You say its not starting now - is it even turning over? Have you verified it's getting spark? What about fuel? Usually if it has both in reasonable amounts it'll at least start, but if yiure missing one it gives you an idea of what system to troubleshoot.
