Cool coolant elbow issues

Ok guys I know that the coolant elbows are notorious for leaking etc. My question is when they start leaking where do you see the coolant dripping from etc? I've never personally encountered this issue but I think I have now. While working on turbo monte I seen a little coolant under the car. It's dripping off the sub frame on the back side in the center. I also see the oil pressure sender is soaked in coolant and there was a drip or 2 of coolant on the top of the power steering reservoir. I pulled the tensioner assembly off and the elbows don't looked cracked but idk. Only other thing i could think of is Lim gaskets but i don't think so because there is only a few thousand miles on them.

Ideas?

John:

I f your currently running the Aluminum Elbows...
More than likely its the O rings that are leaking on the elbows...

If you used the orings that came with it...Then that's the problem...
It been suggested to use after market orings vs the orings supplied with the kit.
They usually start breaking down and leaking once there under pressure...

Better now than later having the plastic ones fail. Can't wait to find out more about how your reassembly process is coming along.

Did you talk to Kevin about the tranny filter brace and if it was necessary to have with your new pan extension?

I am updating my build post soon. Got the bumper on today though

Kevin said he never had an issue with it and a brace is not needed. I shall see lol

Nice, can't wait to read your updated build post.

That will be good if you don't need the brace, lees to mess with. Sam's Monte actually popped his out and with that Matt built the brace to prevent that from happening again. But then again Sam's monte is putting out some stupid crazy power too. And Matt just did it to mine as a precaution during my last rebuild.
