Question Contemplating joining the S/C club

Good evening everyone... I am looking into going to the S/C club and need some advise please... I am looking at the ZZP S/C Stage 2 kit for the L36 vs a top swap... The kit is very pricey, however it seems less problematic for install, thoughts?... Also, would it be wise to install the ZZP SS intercooler at the same time or would it be a waste of $$$ at under 300whp? Really appreciate your help and guidance on this...

Thoughts? Don't do the ZZP Kit. Yes it is "easier" to install because you don't have to swap the heads, but you can't modify like a normal L67 and you are stuck on ZZP's custom modular pulley system.

I would do a top-swap for much cheaper, or their budget turbo system.

If you were doing one of them, id say top swap. ZZP kit is just a lot of money. I looked into top swap when I bought my car. People said to budget (on average) for $1000. Personally decided to save the $$$, get a newer car sooner than later. The question you have to ask yourself is "is $1000 plus all the time to do it worth 40 ish HP?" In my opinion, no. All depends on how bad you want it.

Thanks guys... I was leaning the same way, the ZZP solution is easier, but you're right the cost per HP is rediculous... L67, would you have all parts needed for the swap?... Also, just saw an L67 complete engine with 68,000 miles for $1,200 on ebay, maybe too good to be true and shipping to Canada is nearly impossible...

Their budget Z3 turbo isn't that hard to install, not that bad price-wise, and Will can help tune you

i also agree not to do the zzp ssm90 kit. either top swap it or i also agree more with just turbo it! i can help with any guidance you need if you decide to turbo it. also look into cartuning performance there in canada and put a very nice turbo kit together for our cars!
