Default cold air modification

Hey guys, as my other post said, I was looking for a cold air intake for my 3400...unfortunatly, I NEVER see them! Ive heard of people getting them put on, so I imagine they are just modifying a 3800 for the 3400. how close are they and does anyone perhaps have a picture reference of what to do?

These guys some time back anounced a CAI for 3400 but their website hasn't been updated since 2004.

You might want to see if their phone number is still good.

the prob with the 3800 intake is the MAF is seprate in the 3400 and not part of the TB as in the 3800

i personally wouldnt waist my money on a bought intake... just make one.... go to my www in my profile .... on page 6 i have 4 diff versions of cold air intake plans and links to more sites on other writeups

$189.99 base system + $20 for 3400 + $44 for the filter = $253.99 and that doesnt include shipping

probly around $270? total..... think i might try z34pheonix's way and try to fab one for $20 + filter vs. $270

but what good is a CAI if the car is not runing right cause its lacking a MAF! lol

yes if the maf wasnt there it would mount up pretty close... might be off by about a few inch but very close.... to get it to work you would need to cut the tube where the MAF would go and get two more rubber connectors.

i would just build one. the money you save you can put toward another mod.
