Can i do stage 1?
I wanna do a stage 1 nitrous kit on my 2004 dale jr s/c. It has 60k on it which at the speed shop the guy said "ah its just broken in!". I wanted to nos stage 1 i want to know if my motor can handle it?!
Stages are not a universal method of measuring something.
They are "packages" that companies put together and it means something different to everyone. So without information we really can't help you out.

When it comes to NOS, the only thing that comes to mind is a big... NO!
You're taking a completely stock engine and throwing another 50-150+ horses at it. That's just a bad idea.
The ONLY reason I think you should ever use NOS on an engine is if it's completely built and you want that extra little push or if you've built your engine to where you want it and the internals are built to handle that extra push, when you want it. Not all the time of course, because that would help your engine to get all the way to 65k probably.
And, NOS is dangerous, especially in a DD.

Nitrous isnt a bad as ppl think for motors if the shot is sized right, i wouldnt do more than a 50 on a v6, ikn a few cars with nitrous on stock motors with high 100k miles, cant just throw a 150 & hit it all the time than u will blow ur crap up, plus its basicly adding the same power u would get from a pully drop headers, cai & exhaust
Our cars are actually safe with a 50-75 shot. The problem comes in that you have to tune for it, and so you are slower when you aren't spraying which is going to be about 98% of your driving.
