That's absolutely not true. You can and will make more power with a more efficient supercharger, at equal and sometimes even at lower boost levels.

The best supercharger "upgrade" for L67s in my opinion is replacing your Generation III M90 with a Generation V M90. Even ported Gen IIIs don't perform as well as box stock Gen Vs- the Gen V is a more efficient supercharger with a proven record of making more power than the Gen III, it's an easy swap, and it sounds great too.
whats the difference between a genIII and a genV, is it the year of the car? how can i tell what mine is?

The genV blower came on L32 engines.

The Gen V has a reworked case that flows better/cooler, with a revised inlet and outlet- it also has rotors with an abradable (sp?) coating that seal tighter than the Gen III rotors.

No Monte Carlo's came with Gen V blowers. Most of the 3800 vendors sell them. They came factory on 2004+ supercharged Grand Prixs.

To perform the swap, you need the blower, an L32 lower intake manifold, and a throttle body adapter (again, check the 3800 vendors for this). It's a fairly easy swap and has great gains- even more gains if you use a ported manifold and ported Gen V.

Eeeh, I'd far rather have a ZZP Z7 kit or a Stattama kit rather than the cartooning kit if I were to go turbo...
