Bad stumble

Fuel filter has not been changed recently, on the list to do though. Air filter I believe I did a few months back. On the fuel filter topic, does it require a special tool to remove the line from the filter? I know one end is threaded, but the other is not. Have not crawled under the car to look at it in place, only looked at the filter on the shelf.

Yep, just a flare nut wrench for the fittings and a pliers will do the trick. You do need to depressurize the system prior to removing the filter or fuel under pressure will squirt everywhere.

Meh, just undo the gas cap and make sure you pinch the lines

OK, replaced the wires and went for a spin around the block. Seemed somewhat better, but won't really know until the ride to work. Didn't get to replacing the fuel filter, started to rain. Tomorrow is my daughters fourth birthday, so most likely do it on Thursday.

Drive in to work today, 100% better. Was enjoyable to drive again. Never woulda guessed the plug wires being the culprit. Now to do the fuel filter. Aside from the aformentioned method of pinching off the fuel line to keep it from dumping pressurized fuel, what is the correct way to depressurize the system?
