Question Bad Lifter :(

04 supercharged ss with what i think is a bad lifter. Engine has ticking noise and gradually gets louder as I gas it more. It only does it while its on drive tho? Not when its in P or N. Noticed it about a week ago what can I do to fix? I mean can I do anything other then changing the lifter?? I've been suggested an oil change and some of that lucas stuff. Just need more opinions. Oil I use is purple n have not changed it for roughly 5k miles?

x3..get it checked out....sounds like something has spun a bearing...
when a lifter goes...it sounds off all the time...at idle...and while driveing...

There just maybe something more serious going on...

I took it to autozone they said it was a lifter. Took it to the chevy dealership they said a purge solenoid vacuum leak. I added CD2 I think its called and did nothing to my engine. I hope my engine doesn't lock up!! ill try to post a video sometime soon. But say it was a lifter, how could that of happened outta no where?

First, if it's a lifter, it should not matter what gear the car is in to hear it. The lifters work ALL the time anytime the car engine is running.
I'd be curious what's going on when the car is in gear. Maybe it's a transmission related item??

nope never did
then again i had the L36 motor
when i had it out i removed the UIM and this is what i found

i thought it was an exhaust leak at first (which i had) but took care of it and the tick was still there. but it was only when i had the car in gear and driving that it would start ticking
