is it cheaper through them direct.
i was going to summit for mine, its only a couple exits up the road.
idk if its the main store, but its REALLY big and in summit county.
im still debating, the muffler guy earlier told me that "stainless rusts it just lasts a little longer than normal"
its got me worried about spending 3 times as much as i could.

in response to mak330 and chris magnaflow directly is more money because they sell at full retail, any performance part supplier has a wholesale cost and can sell for whatever price they choose. i get it at very low prices because i can get it at wholesale, well almost it goes through 2 places before it gets sold to me so there's always mark up right?
my price on cat-back systems is usually about $650-$700 depending in the system. and no i'm not in the business of trying to sell people exhaust online thats just what i get it for so other places must be able to also. keep in mind also this is cdn $$ everything costs more here for cars...EVERYTHING!
but by the time i can drive to the states buy it pay duty and tax and drive home its equal cost more or less on most things.
my car '03 ss k&n cold air was $562, and my hypertech programmer was $584 i know you guys get it cheaper in the states.
and yes mak330 stainless will still have rust develop but will last the life of the car likely my old car before i had the '03 was a '95 grand am and the only components that were not original were the muffler and tail pipe, my parents own that car now (i gave it to them) and it is about to roll 300,000 km thats close to 200,000 miles on it. it has factory stainless from the manifold back except the muffler from original. thats also the way mc's are only they have a resonator that rusts out as well.
chris just find a performance parts place like summit and buy from them magnaflow directly is $950 plus shipping i would assume. i know its cheaper and the parts place will probably get it on a bigger order and the shipping will be way less if any.

I'll second this thread. My contact in the High Performance division of my local auto supply has inquired about this on my behalf. The magnaflow rep wanted to know how he heard about it because it is still in production. To date, Magnaflow has not made a full catback system for the 6th Gen.

research and the right contacts you'd be amazed what information i can come up with. i speak directly with the lead production engineer at magnaflow in california now, he knows who i am now. lol the pain in his butt
magnaflow may have not directly made this product that i have on my car, but its from gmpartsdirect.com
http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results...umber=12498617
full cat-back system.
piping is mandrel bent.
resonator is magnaflow, and is fully polished.
mufflers are both magnaflows, fully polished as well
tips are 4 inches and are adjustable for depth. fully polished with magnaflow name stamped into the tops of them.
fully bolt up or can be welded in.
so yes, it may not be completely made by magnaflow but it does have everything made by magnaflow. i couldnt see a difference between the 2 performance wise. there is only one way to have our pipes shaped under our cars, then again im only speaking for 3800's. i've never seen the underneath of an LS or LTZ.
