Default 4T65E question and swap

Alright now my question today (sorry i ask so many) is put into two seperate threads to save room on the forum (sort of)

First, for my 2003 Monte SS i got the parts/options list for it and for the transmission it says it has the 4T65e W/OD Enhanced. What in the world does it mean by enhanced? I have no idea so i figured i would come here and ask fellow owners.

My second question is about a transmission upgrade/swap. Alright so let me explain: in a couple years (depending on how long im in college) i plan on putting a supercharger w/ a tune and an exhaust system (headers and downpipe, i already have the cat and back) but my transmission is the plain 4T65e and i was planning on upgrading to the HD model of this transmission. Is it possible to do this swap without the supercharger or should i wait until i do the kit and just change them both? The reason being is because i need to replace my rear main seal so i was wondering if its possible to knock out 2 birds with 1 stone in this case and save the trouble and just do a top swap afterwards when im ready?

Thanks for the help in advanced again guys!

All you have to do is change the differential to make yours HD. The 4t65e-HD for supercharged cars has a lower gear ratio.

You can swap a HD diff into your existing trans you don't need a whole trans. All the HD trans is is a different diff and different gear ratio all other parts are the same.

To do the HD diff upgrade you need the diff, diff cover, passenger side axle.

I will be selling a HD diff upgrade very soon if your interested in it...

Im actually swapping the whole transmission out since mine would need to be rebuilt in order to handle the power without a possibility of failing. Thanks anyways!

In 2003 they changed some electronics, and also gave it a hardened 4th gear clutch.

Maybe they just say enhanced to discuss that stuff done to it?

No, yours probably won't need to be rebuilt in order to handle the power. Read what was said, you just get a lower ratio diff.

This makes it a little easier on the trans hard parts, but it won't be a large difference if you're only doing a supercharger.
