Giving more information would be a good place to start.

So you have a 4.3? I'm confused- try posting a lot more information about your car.

If your planning on boosting a 4.3l your better off running a turbocharger not a supercharger. A 4.3 has enough power that at a light boost like 5-7psi it will make lots of extra power but you should just look up a gmc syclone truck and copy that setup if you have the $$$.

Cool idea man what year Monte '85?
the true 3.8L turbo mc's are the rarest models.

i know a guy that built a 4.3L s/c that runs on E85. still has stock heads, pistons, and compression ratio. he runs 8lbs of boost with no problems. not sure what it puts out for hp as he is just finishing up the project. he has it in his rock crawler so on a chasis dyno it would be tough to get real engine hp numbers due to the big tires, axles, etc.

Ok, so your carbed. Here is some interesting reading for you.

I can't seem to find the article where they added a vortech blower to it. They used one for a 350 and cut a 1 1/4 in off of a pipe to make it work. They got 501 hp before they blow a head gasket. I hope this helps.

Im looking through this thread and I see a post about a monte with a 3.8 turbo? There is a guy that lives right down the street from me with a buick with a 3.8 sfi turbo that looks just like an 86 monte. Is this a grand national? Man is it a fkn nice car, all black and all chrome under the hood. Anyone care to see pics next time I get the chance to take a pic??

i would do at least bearings and rings if your going to spend the money on force induction. on that note if your going to go out and buy a supercharger for this thing i would just spend that money and get a crate motor ready to go. you can find a small block chevy thats ready to rock for what a sc setup and a rebuild on that motor is going to cost you. im all for daring to be different i just think there is a better way to go about it. or buy a super cheap small block long block and super charge that. itll have more cubes and more potential. either way good luck.
