Default 3400 turbo

Hey guys I have an 04 ls and I am looking into a good turbo(the used one I bought was bad. Very bad) would this be a turbo I can drop in there. I have the intercooler and all, just no turbo.

if you have the piping and all you can drop whatever you want in there basically... I would NOT buy the first cheap one you find on ebay... Also, do you have someone doing the install for you and a good tuner that knows his way around this platform?

I have all the piping. That's not the turbo I'm after, just an idea of what to look for but I would rather pay 200 than 6000 on other websites lol. I am putting it in with my friend that's a grand am guy. He said its simple so we will see. It will defiantly be harder than when I turbo charged my Honda haha.
Thanks for always helping me out trewyn

Not a problem, the install will be the easy part honestly. Hopefully your friend knows how to tune for something like this, or else things can go wrong pretty quick!

As trewyn said. I wouldn't buy any turbo off eBay. It may have the se name but the internals are not as good. Its a down graded "cheap" version of a good turbo. Also male sure your guy can tune well or you could grenade your engine real quick!

I possibly have a turbo for sale, not sure what flanges you need and what not
I'm pulling mine off turbo Monte to upgrade to a bigger one. Turbo only has around 5000 miles on it.

How much for the turbo? And yeah my friend can tune it all. He works at a high performance shop and has done over 1000 cars. Isn't your turbo optimized for the 3800 or it doesn't matter? Like I said I only turbo charged my old civic. So I went from really slow, to slow haha

Do you have a few specs on the turbo?

It is a precision pt61 turbo with a t4 flange and opening for 2.5" dp. It is the turbo off the Cartuning turbo kit. I can try and get a hold of kevin at cartuning if more info is needed. I honestly don't know what its worth.
