my monte has the 3400 motor in it, as it is only an LS. I know the 3800 in the bigger montes and the GPX have the plastic engine covers. my question is will a 3400 engine cover fit on my motor even though it did not come with one from the factory? I ask because it would be another part I could add my personal touch to, to dress up under the hood. thanks for any help, Billy

 

I thought LS could get both 3400 and 3800 - could be confusing Impalas. Yes the engine cover will fit.

00-05 LS' only came with 3400s. Impala LS' came with 3800s. If you can find a 3400 engine cover, it will fit fine in your Monte.

 

The 3400 engine covers were offered on the mini-vans with the 3400. But as others said, it will fit your Monte.
