Default 327 parts suggestion

Ok, I know some stuff about motors and what not. But not enough so I was wondering if you guys can help me out. I'm gonna be getting an 84 Monte SS but the guy is taking the motor out. So I have a 327 motor at home I'll be taking about of a 70 El Camino. Motor is all stock and I doubt has been rebuild. So i plan on rebuilding it. But since I'm down there I want to fix up the motor. I was wondering what you guys suggest on doing. I wanna try to get as much power out of it as I can w/o problems and w/o tons of $$. Now I understand this is not going to be a cheap project by all means. But being a 20 year old kid with insurance, truck, quad, and house payments I can't afford alot and it's not going to be a 2 month project it will be a year or so. And hoping to have truck and quad paid off by New Years. I know I can get truck don't know about quad. But back on topic what would ya'll suggest on everything... piston, cam, heads, carb, crank..etc. Thanks alot

Jason

well it all depends on your bugeti know that the stock bottom end is good for alot of power so the stock crank and rods are good just get them reconditioned and put arp bolts in the rods as for pistons go with hypertec flat top pistons as for cams there is alot of diffrent choices you gotta pick the one that sutes you the best and then the heads aftermarket heads are always a good thing but are expencive
so if you got a good set (camel hump heads 3927185) you can clean them up for good performance and then intake and carb i would go with a edelbrock rmp intake and carb edelbrock /holley at least 650cfm with some headers and a good dual system you should run pretty good with that

the 383 is possible with a 327 and will give you alot more torque
as for the trans i know that they can built some good th700r4 now but i never had luck with them so i would say th350 any good shop should be abel to to build you a good th350 when i built mine i use all off the shelf b&m parts and its holding pretty good
