Default 3.8 motor replacment

I have a question I am replacing the motor with another 3.8, somebody told me that you had to pull the motor out of the bottom instead of the top. I was just wondering on how hard it would be to do it either way. Thanks for you help.

with basic tools and no lift i prefer to go out the top, leaving the trans in the car.....if you have never pulled the motor from a 3800 car before, it'll take a while...they really arent that bad to work on, just gotta learn all the tricks there is a bolt that goes from the engine into the trans (backwards from the rest) on the back of the engine..."backwards bolt" or "bitch bolt" as many call it....
