Default 2007 monte turbo

I have been debating for quite some time of adding a turbo to my monte as I am preparing to keep it as a fair weather driving car only. Couple of questions. Does anyone know the horsepower increase using a car tuning kit? Also is it viable to use it for highway driving after installations on those days when I want to drive to work?

if your talking about the ls4 cars i think the intercooled kit makes them 500+hp. you can definitely drive the car on the highway like that. you should also be sure to have money set aside for a trans build because it will eventually need one.

Is there an upgraded trans and drive axle available for the LS4? I've been dreaming of doing a turbo upgrade to the Deuce one day

theres the tep upgrades that everyone does upon rebuilding there trans. im sure he probably sells the whole trans if you didnt want to part with yours to rebuild it. you could buy the parts and rebuild it yourself, or bring the parts and your trans to your local trusted trans guy and have them rebuild it. other than that there isnt a factory option thats an upgrade. at least bolt in wise. im going to say the trans from the bonne gxp and the caddy dts is an upgrade but i doubt that they would fit with out some type of major work.

I have had the Cartuning kit for a few years now. I drive 30+ miles each way to work every day. No problems whatsoever. I would recommend getting the Displacement on Demand disabled. I was having problems with it and when I removed it, my MPG jumped up to 24. Good luck! I haven't had any tranny problems yet, but I know that a new one from Monster will be in my future.
