Default Calling all top swapped monte carlos!!!!

I have a 2002 Monte and have been fighting this car with the bin files and PCM tuning for a while. I have a Gen V blower, IC, 1.9 rockers and more. The issue is that I can't get the timing above 13* or it will knock a good bit. The other issue is that when I do WOT pulls I get a good AFR on my wideband of 12 but then a little while into 100% WOT the AFR drops to 11 and then into the 10s. A few other Monte guys with the same setup as me are having the same issues.

Does anyone have anything for a solution or have a Gen V Top swapped Monte with good timing that you could send me a bin file to look at?

Thanks!

Right now I am on a 3.6 pulley with only 13* of timing. With my mods I should at least be able to get a 3.2 on there. I don't get what is going on.

Other people have said to just use the stock file and stock MAP, 04+ file and 2 bar MAP, Hybrid 02 file with 04+ parts and 2 bar map

i can take a look at the bin for you if you want. sounds to me like the AF vs Time is dumping more fuel.... you using DHP im assuming.

What's your injector size and have you upgraded any of your fuel system? How old are the injectors and have you checked the drivers?

I have some 42.5s waiting to go in. I think you are correct about the AFR vs. time table.
The issue that a few of use are running into is the timing. For some reason everyone I talk to can't get more that 13 or 14* of timing out of their Monte Carlo. I don't get why that is happening. There must be something in a Monte Carlo tune that is preventing further tuning of the car.

Well considering most of us are top swapped the higher compression doesn't allow for high timing gotta remember that. Of course ours respond better to more timing as opposed to leaning it out for power so it's kind of a trade off.

OK well here is the question? Is there any top swapped Monte Carlos on here running higher timing? Past 14*?

With my IC,1.9s and other stuff I still can't get past 14* on a 3.6 pulley. Something has to be wrong.

I'll definitely be able to go past 14* when I get my injectors in. But I have a ton of mods except for the intercooler. I should get to about 16-17 from what's been discussed.
