Default 2001 Monte Carlo SS

So, I've been looking through my haynes manual to figure out if I have a timing belt or a timing chain. Manual doesn't really specify at all. Anyone know if a 3.8 SS has a chain or a belt?

The 3.8 utilizes an internal timing chain. The front of the engine requires disassembly in order to access it. If you have Haynes manual #24048 refer to chapter 2 part c, page 2c-9 for further details.
