Just wondering? Is the 305 free or an engine you already own?

I ask cause most people consider the 305 nothing more then a boat anchor. If you can, a 350 will be a much better engine for you. More power and more torgue versus a 305.

As for transmission options a 200-4R or 700-R4 will also fit your car. These offer overdrive which will help out on gas mileage. You'll like that. There will be an issue of getting the overdrive to operate properly but there's other owners out there just like you who got this working in their cars. So they can offer help on getting the transmission working right in your car, too.

Just some things to think about.

why would the overdrive not work in his car ? the th200r4 or th700r4 are hydraulicly controled. and the only problem you would have is the lock-up converter and there are a couple of kit avalible to fix that problem.
