i just picked up a 1980 monte that is the original 3.8 turbo the body is perfectly straight with no rust im just dont really know for sure what i got i know that they are rare i did find that out but i would like to know what kinda trick their are to get a little more boost goin

 

ne kind of advice would help im normally a v-8 guy but this car really grabs me so ne advice on nething for this car would be helpful

 

yes they are rare i'm not sure of how rare and if your looking for advice if your looking for stuff to do to it look up som buick gran national sites

hi i have a 1980 montecarlo turbo it has a 3.8v6 turbo and it is carburatered motor witch ive found out is realy raer all the grand nations are injected.ive had this car for a couple months and it took a min to dig some stuff up about the car. 1980 motecarlo all came with a chevy 229cid v6 a new option for 1980s was a buick turbocharged virsion of the 231cid v6 at 170hp other optional engines 267cid and 305cid versions of chevys v8s there were a total of 149,000montes that year 39,679 were landau and out of that 13,839 were turbo and they only made the turbos 80,81.
