Default 1973 Monte Carlo with factory 4 speed - does it exist?

Were any 1973 Monte Carlos ordered or was it even available with a factory 4 speed?

It appears that the second gen Montes were only available with a 3 speed auto or stick. So no 4 speed.

so it was 3 speed manual on the floor or 3 speed manual on the tree (on the column)?

There's a book called 'Chevrolet By The Numbers' (by Alvin Colvin) that states a 4 speed manual transmission was available as an option in '73 behind a 350 2 bbl.

nice. does it show how many were made like that? a secondary question. Do you think it would be easier to find a 73 Monte with factory 4 speed or find the holy grail?

Holy Grail. I don't believe the factory ever made a manual second gen Monte. And the SS454s were gone in '72. I thought I saw it in a book as well, though have seen it mentioned multiple times that a 4 speed was never installed in a second gen.

A few months back I saw a second gen on Ebay with a 350 and 3 on the tree. Supposedly one of only 7 or 8 cars made like that, it went cheap, less than 2k, but it looked kind of rusty.
