its so weird, the compressor comes on , then off. but it works fine when the car is moving, but when i stop a a light or have it in park, it blows hot *** air. does anyone kno where to begin to look?

 

you may have to service your a/c- add refrigerant. But before you do check to make sure your cooling fans come on when they are supposed to...Im not sure at what temps what speed is supposed to come on, but i know for sure that the low speed fan should come on whenever the a/c is engaged. If not, or if the high side pressure rises beyond a certain level, the compressor is disengaged. This can be due to high temps on the condenser due to insufficient cooling.
