06 mc engine swap?

RE: 06 mc engine swap?
i'd take it from his name he gota V6... probably looking at a V8. keep in mind if you go with the V8, i know they have different transmissions and they probably have a heavier duty suspension to hold the engine.. plus more than likeley a different wiring harness. its not as easy as back in the day when you just pulled one out and popped a new one in.
the 5.3 would probably be tricky, considering it has the DOD system that shuts down 4 cylinders.
the NorthStar V8 from Cadillac isn't as good as the 5.3
a 3.8 supercharged has alot of potential.. but I don't know about getting on in the 7th generation 06-07's..

Instead of going with a different engine which will cost you about 7 grand plus tons of programming headaches I would go with a turbo. Bring it to ZZP andthey can hook you up with a setup for 4-5 grand and it will be more powerfull than the larger engine and will be less of a headache.

I'm a BIG fan of boost! Turbocharge that sucker and make it GO! The 5.3's are a rare breed, being shorter than a truck engine, or an LS1 or LS2. The milage on them as stated here just plain sucks, and boost is KEWL!
