Default Window tint...???

Heyy guys! So I've run into a lil situation. I was try to get my windows tinted whenever i go up to Missouri in the winter if I gotta enough money buttttt now i'm second guessing. Everyone is telling me to tint the windows but then my b/f knows I wanna turn it into a show car and he says that I should just keep the windows the way they are without any tinting. Soo what do you guys think? Should I still tint them and if so what percent should I do them? Or should I leave them the way since I'm gonna be showing it a lot next summer? Thanks guys =D

tinting is great! it depends how dark you want it. i have 20%, if you think thats dark, go higher like 35 or higher to 50%.

Sonin66's car is 20%, like he said, and I think it looks awesome. Before you do any tinting though, you need to check what tint % is legal for your state, if it's too dark a cop can pull you over and give you a ticket. And like the other members said, if you tint your car, I don't know why that would matter at a car show, just put the windows down, and tinting is such a minor modification to the car anyways.

LEGALLY it looks like you can't go darker than 35%, which still is plenty dark for my taste. here in MN it's only 50% and the cops are d*cks about it too. even if your tint is legal here, you will still draw attention to yourself and get pulled over most of the time late at night on a weekend (and any other time of day for that matter) cuz they're looking for a DUI or just to give you hard time. that very thing has happened to my gf 3 times in the last year. she had her LEGAL tint removed needless to say. therefore, i saved myself the hassle and passed on the tint all together for my monte.

For the reasons stated above I haven't tinted my Monte.

It's a quick car, and it can get loud. I don't need to add tint to the factors of a cop wanting to pull me over for no reason.

My first car was tinted legally, and I was pulled over and had arguments over it all the time. Not worth the hassle. I'd rather use the $200 on something else.

I have 35% which is not really that dark, you can still see through it, but it looks good, and is great for cutting down on sun in the cabin.

I live in MO and my windows are 18% (check sig). The first week I got 'em I got pulled over and the cop's guage thing said 14% lol! I got the ticket mainly cus the cops in my town are a$$-hole rejects from other departments with nothing better to do.

I would defiantly tint it as dark as you legally can cus the limit is really not that dark when you look in or out(which is why mine is darker). Also, tinting kept the interior and my butt way cooler in the summer with the window closed.

***HINT***if you feel like the tint is too dark for the "cops" open some of the windows which allows in light and will make the tint not look as dark
