After I cleaned my wheel wells real thoroughly, I masked off about everything painted and sprayed on fresh coats of the rubberized undercoating. The wheel wells looked like new.
I must now do my wheel wells!! I plan on doing the whole underneathe this summer!

The 3M self adhesive Pinstriping product is what we used. Had the wheels powder coated, then we pinstriped and finally shot them with 2 layers of Clear Coating. All seems to be holding up well for almost 2 years now, and I pressure wash them, apply wheel cleaner and they are still there. So I would call it a success.

Hey you can't go wrong detailing your whole underside. Helps find broken muffler hangers and other things. And your car looks exceptionally clean and presentable as really well cared for at car shows and rallys. You just hate to ever drive it in the rain again, but you will eventually. LOL just the way it goes.......Post pic's when you do, bet your car will look awesome all squared away.

I'll post pics of my undercarriage as well. Last summer I spent an entire week under that car cleaning scraping and painting.. Did everything from the engine to the tailpipes, I used Silver, Black, And Red. I also know how it feels to drive it around and get it all dirty again... But, my exhaust will never rust, nor will my underbody. The paint really helps protect the metal very well. All the edges that have scrap marks on them, well if you wire brush the rust off or dirt, then prime and paint it will make a HUGE differance when you do detail the underside again. Mjc..

I just bought some "pin stripe wheel decals" for my wheels. Hope they turn out like yours. I'm not sure if it's the same as yours, but these are 3M but have a radius on them pre cut to go along the wheels without any lifting or the decal. I am just debating weather to clear coat my rims or not. I may have to to help preserve the red circle decals from peeling. However, if I do clear oat them I am afraid I may ruin the looks of them. Hmmmmm big decision here. I was gonna polish the outsides of my wheels that are bare aluminum (with the factory clearcoat) them they would rock...

The biggest issue I want to do on my engine is dressing it up. My engine is spotless darn near, but I want to make custom covers for my fuse box, my radiator, battery, brake assembly and coolant resivour as well. But I also want to get the Red anodized aluminum fittings and mesh covering the hoses. I want to pull my alternator and polish it, paint the intake cover etc... Really dress the bay up. Then to top it all. I am making a panel to put on the bottom of my hood that says "Heartbeat of America" and painting a huge Bowtie and SS logo on the heat mat. That should top it off, I ALLREADY have the trick aluminum strut braces and body braces. Hope it turns out good... Then use the stuff you use to detail the entire engine, and all done ! Whew ! Sorry so long.. Mj

undercoating!! genius!! I never thought of that....that will be spiffy!

those wheels are hot.

I cant post pictures yet...until my 10 days are up.

OOOOO and MJ...many powdercoaters have the ability to CLEAR powdercoat. I saw some poished aluminum parts at a Mopar show last summer, that were CLEAR powder coated.

Wow very well done. One can see you have left no detail unattended to. Your engine bay makes people stop and look your car over I would bet. NICE!!!
