Huh??
To my knoledge a tire shine product is a post cleaning detail product (unless you get something like the foaming tire cleaner, that cleans and leaves a shine). But a true stand-alone tire shine should be used on a clean tire for best results.

I love this product (not to be confused with Meguiar's foaming tire cleaner and shine)!
Best results and it is normally cherry scented (I had one can that was not). I've also applied it on a non-dry tire and it gets past the water and leaves a beautiful finish. For testing, on a dirty tire on my old daily driver, I sprayed it on half the tire (and I was surprised how good it looked). Even more surprising, seeing how long the half that was sprayed took to get back to being like the other half that was dirty (that car did not get washed much in the last couple of years I owned it).

Right, I know it is a post cleaning detail product. What I said was based on the first sentence of the initial post:
"Recently I have been using Duplicolor tire shine which is fantastic when your wheels and wheel wells are clean but when they are dirty and you spray this on it looks like crap."

I've been using Meguiar's Endurance Tire Dressing Gel but I think they discontinued it because I haven't been able to find it lately. I guess I'll have to try something different when this bottle is gone.

I always liked Armor All. Always gives my tires a nice shine that would last for a day, because it always seems to rain the next one. Unfortunately, I'm not able to keep it in a garage.

As a detailer i use Meg's detailer line D170 hyper dressing, a water bassed dressing that i can mix it 4 diff ways for the amount of shine you want from high shine to natural

Also a fan of Megs Hot shine, i always used an applicator for even coverage

Personally, I LOVE using Wizards "black renew". you can use it on leather, vinyl, and tires. As a detailer, I like have a shiny, yet flat and deep look, to my tires. With the clack renew is eats away all the scum that is on the tires and gives it that deep black look making it look like a brand new tire again. I would personally recommend this to any deatiler. I also LOVE all other tire shines all of you like to use, ive used them all, I just really like the product I am using. If there comes a time where I dont have it I would recommend those listed above....most of them

Not only this but if you are cleaning it in a auto body shop when another worker is painting, it doesnt cause any fish eyes in the paint, yet again, I wouldnt recommend cleaning anything with fumes cleaning a vehicle while someone is painting another in a different room. anything you spray will make its way to that paint room and trust me, it is not a good deal if that happens! Ive lived at a body shop my whole life so if any of you have any questions about what cleaning supplies work best for shops while painting I am probably your best person to ask

I just tried Griot's Garage's high shine tire dressing on the Stang Thursday - jury's still out - It isn't "too" shiny but has a very nice look. I will post back for updates on how long it lasts. So far I have not experienced any sling. It's a spray that I applied to a tire detailing sponge.
