Default Waxing Techniquie

So many of us learned the classic "Wax on/Wax off" technique where you move the wax in a swirling, circular motion. However, a friend of mine told me that he stumbled across another technique one day, just putting the wax on in straight lines and taking it off in straight lines. This kept the wax from leaving any swirl marks when you finished.

Anyone ever tried this? I'm thinking of trying ti next time my Monte needs a waxing.

Yes I have done the straight line method, back and forth with over lapping strokes (I use an orbital) and I think it works well.

using an orbital moves faster to help get out swirls and scratches, thats why most of us went to machine, i dont think swirls are very easy to see on silver tho, lucky lol

Trust me swirls do show up on silver haha. I use an Orbital buffer for all of my paint correction, polishing and waxing. I prefer waxing with machine because you can make a much more even layer and often looks better when all finished. Some actually remove residue with buffer but I prefer removing by hand.
