Valve Cover?

Valve Cover?
So, I'm kinda stumped on My front valve cover. A while back I used Purple Power to clean my engine, and I sprayed some on the Upper intake manifold and the front valve cover along with other things too. So after I rinsed off my engine, I came upon a very ugly looking Valve Cover now, It's not one solid color like how it was before I cleaned it. It's splotchy and different colors.
See, if you look closely, you'll see that it's a different shade from the rest of it. As shown in the pic below
So, I want it to look clean under the hood. So I was thinking of getting another cleaner to fix it and make it look better.
Any ideas guys?
Thanks!

you could try going over it with a fine grit sandpaper, that could remove some of the corroded / pitting effect from the cleaner, just enuff to even out the color, than wipe it off with a clean dry rag. i did that to my 3.1 ( amazing how similar the 3.1 & 3400 look, btw), i lightly scuffed the intake manifold and the front valve cover, which both had that pitting. it worked pretty well, its a pain trying to reach in to get the whole thing though...
good luck, man

if you end up removing it and/or painting it, you should do a walk through. Ive really wanted to see how to remove parts off our 3400's. I wanted to do painting for the longest time... just dont know how to take the pieces off!
