Default Trunk Mats/Liners

Looking on PFYC today I noticed that they have trunk lid liners listed as fitting 2000-2007 Monte Carlos. Are the dimensions the same in all the 6th gen models? I'm considering getting the bowtie one but want to see if anyone knows if all the lids have the same dimensions, thanks.

Hmm.. good question.. Here's what I would do.. call the company out on it, email them, and ask. If they assure you that it fits, and you get it home, and it doesnt, take pictures, email the owner of the company, and demand they pay for shipping back to them, and refund you. it is within your right to get at least that back, as that was "false advertising" if it doesnt...

If it's the same trunk lid liner I think it is. I have one of the ones from PFYC installed on my car. The pic on PFYC isn't very good since they use a black trunk lid with a black liner. I have a pic of mine in my photo gallery. It should give you a better idea of where it sits inside the trunk lid.

It attaches with provided velcro (the good stuff, not the cheap hook and loop stuff that unravels on ya) already attached to it. The velcro is built up in spots to take the high and low spots inside your trunk lid into account. I was satisfied with the product itself, and the look. But be aware. The trunk lid liner was $75. UPS driver charged me $50 DELIVERY CHARGE at the door. Had I known about the ungodly UPS charge, I wouldn't have bought it. Maybe ask the company if they can ship it some other method.

Hope this helps.

Just wondering why the company send the liner to you freight collect? They should have known if the box the lineris shipped in is say oversize, or an additional UPS charge.

Usually UPS collects at the shipping point from the shipper. Not thecustomer unless instructed to.

I believe it had to do with duties, taxes, brokerage fees, all that fun stuff at the US/Canada border. But still... the paper work said it originated from Michigan. It's not like we're talking about shipping from the other side of the continent. I could have driven to the company and picked it up in less than 2 hours. I've never had a problem like that with stuff I got through Fed Ex or USPS, only UPS.

Anyway, I remember a thread from a few months ago where people were telling their UPS horror stories. I now think twice about buying anything that gets shipped UPS. They can honk on bobo too.

Unlike USPS, UPS get's socked with extra fees and taxes when crossing the border.

I know I can send stuff USPS to Canada for a lot less then through UPS. Although I won't admit this to my supervisor.

But I've compared prices between USPS and UPS before.

Hi Wayne.

It was only listed on the packing slip. I looked for the packing slip, but I must have thrown it out.
I'm pretty sure the Michigan address was only a warehouse location where they ship from. Which narrows it down to only a million or so warehouses. Chances are they probably wouldn't have given it to me even if I had shown up.

For $75 it adds a nice touch to the rather ugly framework of the inside of the trunk lid. But if you're getting it shipped to a country outside of the US, try inquiring about other shipping possibilities. Otherwise be prepared for a large UPS charge.
