you in the military? You're a brave man for doing these kind of things yourself, I dunno I'd be brave enough to attempt it, not to mention the fact that I wouldn't have a clue on how to do it even if I was brave enough to try.

yeah i am ,

as far as doing your self that is the easy part

for the trunk lid cover just get a peice of card borad and make a pattern of the trunk lid that you want then you dont have to worry abotu screwing anythign up if you ruin it it is cheap.

then you transfer all of this on to light weight laminet or you can even use the carb borad and cover it in the material that you want and your done

you can cover it with ewthier spray on adhisive or roll on ust do light coat so that it will stick the fabric down but not bleed threw it.

then to attach it you can do it several way oh and you can attach the fabric with dubbel sided tape also

you can attach it with screws, dubbel sided tape or when your making your pattren find a holes or aother attachment point already in the deck lid and use them
I have mine set up to go under he bumpers on the dek lid and then i will also add some dubbel sided tape liek teh stuff they use for your emblems it wil hold up to alot and it strong.

but it is not hard to do just take some time and thinking
Mine will have some lights in it when im done with it.

I like the ideal of having one done that says "Monte Carlo" in the same script that is on the outside of the trunk. That'd be kinda cool. I can't see myself being able to replicate that writing though

you dont have to replicate it LOL

It is the montecarlo cursive that you already have

it is in word and if not go get it off a web site for fonts.

then just figure out the size you need and have it printed at that size. then all you have to do is cut it out and pattren in for what your doing

You can also print it on you computer priner in banner mode and make the letters one at a time if need be

I learned what i know from doingit and watching others and say hell i can get that done and learn how by trial by fire. LOL

Kind of like under my hood i have painted it all i did that from bordem and now im working on makeing templets for the front end to cover above the head lights and all where there are holes int eh front end of the car in aluminum

haha, you talked me into it. I'll be bringing home a box from work tomorrow so I can get started. I'll snap some pics of the finished product. Matter of fact, maybe I should do a write up on it  I'll take pics of the process just in case I decide to do a write up.
