Spring Clean Tune-up
1. I start my spring clean tune-up with a thorough "Hand" Car Wash.
2. Then I wipe down the car with denatured alochol to strip off all polish and wax.
3. Thorough Clay Bar Treatment.
4. Evaluate the paint to determine if I need to wet sand and paint any of the scratches. If yes, sand, rinse, paint, clear coat, and that is it for at least a week. If not, I goes to step 5.
5. Rewash car
6. Pull out my Porter & Cable 7424 and Country Lake pads (orange, white, gray, blue)
7. Working in 20"x20" squares, I start with Mother's Scratch and Swirl remover with orange pad.
8. Working in 20"x20" squares, I work Mother's Wax Cleaner with a White Pad.
9. Working in sections (hood, fenders, doors, quarters, back, etc.) I work Mother's Glaze and Sealant with White Pad.
10. Working in sections, I apply Mother's Pro Wax to the entire car with a blue Pad.
11. Then I buff it off by hand.
12. repeat steps 10 & 11 until it looks like the paint is under a pane of glass. Total process time - about 8-hours.
13. Crack open a "Really Cold Beer" and enjoy all your a hard work.
14. Next Morning, I will do the tires, Use an Ultra soft wax brush to clean the cracks, and use Mother's Back to Black to finish the job.
15. Take pictures and post on the Forums... lol
