im not really a fan of them plain but maybe the black ones with a little tint over em might be pretty sick. ive had a few sets of tinted tail lights and have done a billion more pairs... i like mine stock how they are clear i like that look. and i didnt think the third brake light was attached i did mean the tail lights yeah

 

Okay, I figured you didn't mean 3rd brake light, but we were talking about spoilers and then randomly went to brake lights! haha so I was just making sure.

And IDK I like them over the stock...

I think the black set would look gorgeous on my car, and im gonna need to get new ones anyways, my right rear has a fog patch in it thats driving me insane. i like the stock tails but their is always room for an appearance upgrade, especially since it'll match my blacked out headlights.

 

There's a guy on 2000 Monte Carlo with a red SS. His car has the aftermarket taillights. They look pretty sweet on his car.

 

that tail light condensation seems to be a pretty common thing huh. i see it all the time and mine have it too its realy annoying. ive been thinking about trying to get it all out somehow and then putting some silicone around em or somethin to re seal em

 

yea it does suck. what sucks more, its really noticable on clear lenses like we have....if they were any other color it wouldnt be as bad.

 

yeah and i like the clear part too cuz i noticed the new ones are red and i dont like that as much or id switch em. my buddy tinted his lights... actually i tinted them for him but it makes the fog less noticeable on his lights. his car is called the bumble bee tho he has all black and yellow thats it.

 

It's caused by moisture trapped in the taillights.

My plan of attack was to remove both taillights and drill a small hole so air could flow through the housings.

Ideally you want two holes across from each other. So the air can enter one hole & escape out the other hole. To me this means one hole at the top, one hole at the bottom.
(this may not be possible for whatever reason?)

So "Plan B" here would be two holes at the bottom, across from each other. So air can still most through the taillight housings.

Oh by the way. Seventh generation taillights don't seem to have this problem. I've yet to notice it in my '06s taillights.

 

well what the hell why couldnt they have designed that tail light earlier?!?
